This page aims to answer many of the frequently asked questions clients have about Intellitext and the services we offer.

Q: Who benefits from TypeWell?
A: Many people benefit from TypeWell real-time transcription services, including those who are d/Deaf, hard of hearing, ESL speakers (English as a Second Language), veterans, the learning disabled, individuals with brain injuries, and those simply needing a meaning-for-meaning transcript to refer to later. We work in classrooms, hospitals, business meetings, laboratories, and just about anywhere you can imagine!

Q: Can I receive onsite services?
A: Yes! We have established onsite TypeWell providers in: Reno, Nevada; Carson City, Nevada; Las Vegas, Nevada; Los Angeles, California; San Diego, California; Salt Lake City Utah; Provo/Ogden, Utah; Bellingham/Whatcom County, Washington; McKinney/Collin County, Texas; Baltimore, Maryland; Denver, Colorado; and Newburyport, Massachusetts. If you're looking for onsite assistance outside of these areas, we can either connect you with an existing provider or recruit and train someone in your area. Simply provide us with notice of your upcoming need and we will start researching. If your need is more immediate, remote services are a great alternative. Remote TypeWell services are very user-friendly we provide all of the equipment necessary.

Q: Do you charge extra for last minute real-time TypeWell transcription needs?
A: No. We understand last minute needs happen! You'll find we almost always respond to emails/calls within thirty minutes or less to make sure we're there when you need us most. Simply write admin@intellitext.us with your request, and someone from our admin team will get back to you quickly.

Q: Can you real-time transcribe math classes?
A: Yes. TypeWell, the software we utilize, has "math mode", allowing us to rapidly transcribe the symbols, notations, and characters used in all different branches of math and science. For advanced classes, we work to match a transcriber skilled in that field with the need.

Q: Do you charge for technical support?
A: We do not charge for technical support and we are ready to assist you 24/7 via email or phone.  Please don't hesitate to contact us. We are happy to help!

Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: We are able to fulfill requests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We respond to emails very promptly and are often able to accommodate last minute requests.

Q: What's your cancellation policy?
A: Our cancellation policy is 24 hours from the start time of the scheduled service.

Q: Do I have to provide the equipment necessary?
A: We provide all of the equipment necessary, although oftentimes the user prefers to use his/her own PC, Mac, smartphone, or tablet to view the real-time transcript.
